On March 24th in the hour just before market open, CVS had the number one spot on the unusual mentions activity. I noticed from our unusual mention monitor from social media that at 8:58 AM that CVS has significantly higher unusual mention activity than the others.
Just as the market opened, we see that CVS shot up. It hit a days high of 74.23 at 12:35 then dropped back to 73.20 by close. At 9:35 it had a relatively high volume of 207,901. Perhaps unusual mention activity growth in premarket can indicate short term swings or potentially higher volatility. It might be a good indicator to monitor for the short term volatility.
